General Theatre Technician

Responsibilities

• The ability to operate a show as directed by the show director/Technical Manager.
• Operating MA 3 lighting consoles.
• Knowledge of digital audio (Di Gi Co  /Allen & Heath audio console experience advantageous).
• Knowledge of QLab/Timecode operation.
• Operation of Hippo Media Server.
• The ability to work under pressure and to make quick thought through decisions.
• Being part of the Technical Team running Potters Theatre Company Evening Shows.
• Setting up equipment in different areas/locations on Resort for various events.
• Providing technical assistance on Resort during functions both day and night.
• Assisting in loading equipment to and from the theatre.
• Covering backstage/stage crew tracks
• new skills in lighting sound vision and stage.

• This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week 5 days out of 7 (including weekends and bank holidays).
• There may be the need to be flexible with hours depending on the needs of the business.
• Part time and flexible options with hours may also be available.

• Experience of operating lighting sound and video equipment.
• Organised efficient and proactive.
• Good understanding of working safely within a Theatre/stage environment.
• Basic bench work skills including soldering (beneficial but not essential).
