The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting effective cash flow management overseeing day-to-day banking operations and coordinating audit activities to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements This role involves monitoring liquidity managing bank reconciliations and facilitating smooth interactions with external auditors The Senior Accountant also contributes to the accuracy of financial records supports the implementation of internal controls and ensures that financial operations align with organizational policies and statutory obligations Additionally the position plays a key role in maintaining financial discipline optimizing treasury processes and supporting the finance team in achieving overall operational efficiency
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure adequate cash flow is maintained to meet the company s financial obligations while optimizing cash utilization to enhance operational efficiency
- Prepare and report on the company s liquidity position and key financial ratios ensuring accuracy relevance and timely delivery
- Oversee banking operations including the management of all bank accounts and execution of interbank transfers to ensure smooth and secure transactions
- Assist in the preparation of reports for the Asset and Liability Committee ALCO ensuring completeness and consistency with financial data
- Support the analysis of funding costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and improve financial performance
- Maintain and monitor interest expense accruals ensuring accurate accounting and alignment with company policies and financial standards
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts to support financial planning investment decisions and liquidity management
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient audit processes
- Support regulatory compliance efforts
