Job Overview:
Our prestigious client in Bahrain is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Occupational Medicine / Physician to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in occupational medicine and a passion for promoting the health and well-being of employees in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational health assessments and provide recommendations for employee health and safety
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on occupational health and safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement health promotion programs
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
- Manage and maintain employee health records and ensure confidentiality
- Conduct audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace
- Provide training and education to employees on occupational health and safety topics
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop return-to-work programs for employees on sick leave
- Participate in the development and review of company policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety
Qualifications:
- MBBS Medical degree and specialization in Occupational Medicine is a must
- Valid license to practice as a Specialist Occupational Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational medicine
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
