Main Tasks & Duties
  • Perform monthly and annual periodic preventive maintenance.
  • Prepare the technical reports, costs of maintenance, and the repair and technical specifications for the materials and equipment needed.
  • Provide the materials needed for equipment maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inform the Head of the Procurement & Logistics Services Department of any comments, suggestions or amendments needed to avoid any malfunctions.
  • Ensure the use of high‑quality tools and supplies, and make recommendations to replace them in the event of a failure to meet the required operating standards.
  • Receive and classify any complaints relating to the logistic services and take any necessary measures.
  • Perform daily rounds of all university facilities to check their logistics and security situation and ensure the proper function of alarms and safety systems.
  • Supervise all the work of maintenance companies in the university and submit reports to the Head of the Procurement & Logistics Services Department on their efficiency.
  • Receive the daily reports from the maintenance companies, which are to indicate that any maintenance complaints received have been addressed.
  • Monitor the maintenance staff in the university and submit a report to the Head of the Procurement & Logistics Services Department on their performance efficiency.
  • Monitor the inventory of spare parts, including expendable parts, to optimise inventory through the careful study of consumption.
  • Monitor and renew logistics contracts, supervise the work needed and sign off the completion of work through monitoring the schedule of each company.
  • Enter the issuance and closure of purchase orders for spare parts and expendable materials, such as electric items, pipelines and their breaks, into the computer system.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Preferably with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Preferably with 2 years’ relevant work experience.
  • A good command of Arabic and English (preferably both spoken and written).
Competencies
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety rules.
  • Good time‑management skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • The ability to use different equipment and devices.
