Role Summary

The Associate Logistics Inventory Controller is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end lifecycle of logistics assets and branding compliance. This role involves a dual focus: maintaining strict inventory control over rider equipment and shipments, and overseeing the branding standards of our fleet. You will coordinate with riders, warehouse teams, and third‑party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure inventory accuracy and branding consistency. Additionally, you will manage the administrative side of logistics, including government permit renewals for branded vehicles, budget tracking, and analysing compliance data to drive productivity improvements and operational efficiency.

On Your Plate? Category Responsibilities:
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
  • End‑to‑End Inventory Control:
    Manage daily stock levels, record container shipments, and register all transactions immediately in the platform to ensure real‑time data accuracy and prevent stockouts.
  • Equipment Lifecycle & Audits:
    Oversee the distribution and collection of rider equipment (onboarding/offboarding) and perform regular physical counts to reconcile system data.
  • Warehouse Coordination:
    Direct the warehouse team on distribution guidelines to ensure seamless daily operations.
Branding Compliance & Supervision
  • Compliance Oversight:
    Monitor rider attendance and adherence to branding standards, take corrective action on violations, and manage the daily suspension process.
  • Supplier & 3PL Management:
    Supervise branding supplier activities and update the 3PL tracker to monitor the circulation of branded vs. non‑branded boxes, addressing any gaps immediately.
Admin, Permits & Finance
  • Government Relations:
    Coordinate with the GRO to manage, renew, and track government permits for branded vehicles to ensure full legal compliance.
  • Budgeting:
    Maintain the branding budget tracker, oversee expenses, and collaborate with finance to ensure timely supplier payments and accurate documentation.
Reporting & Strategic Improvement
  • Data Analysis:
    Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly reports on branding, compliance, 3PL updates, and budget performance to enhance decision‑making.
  • Process Optimization:
    Collaborate with operations to resolve logistical, financial, or branding challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Make proactive suggestions for productivity improvements within the logistics and inventory processes.
Qualifications What Did We Order? Experience & Knowledge
  • Logistics & Ops:
    Proven experience in logistics, inventory management, or operational compliance (delivery/e‑commerce preferred).
  • Government Liaison:
    Strong familiarity with government permitting processes and experience working with PROs/GROs.
  • Financial Acumen:
    Experience in budget management and cost control.
Technical Skills
  • Data Proficiency:
    Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and maintaining complex trackers (e.g., 3PL, Inventory platforms).
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Orchestrate workflows between external partners (3PLs, Suppliers), government bodies (PRO/GRO), and internal departments (Logistics, Regional, Finance) to ensure seamless execution.
Soft Skills
  • Problem Solving:
    Ability to address logistical, financial, and operational challenges proactively.
  • Communication:
    Good communication skills for effective interaction with riders, suppliers, warehouse staff, regional and finance teams.
  • Organization:
    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks (inventory counts, permit renewals, reporting) and prioritise effectively.
  • Leadership:
    Ability to oversee and manage personnel effectively in supplier operations.
