Are you a Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on a major new residential tower project in Manchester? This is a standout opportunity to join a respected contractor expanding from London into the North West, backed by a secured pipeline of work and a clear long-term regional strategy. As the first Quantity Surveyor on site for this flagship scheme, you’ll play a central role in shaping project delivery and helping to establish the commercial standards for the new region.

Opportunity

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be the #1 commercial lead on a landmark residential tower development. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you’ll take full responsibility for cost control, procurement, valuations, subcontract management and commercial reporting.

This role offers exceptional autonomy and is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor who thrives on ownership and wants to progress with a business entering a major growth phase. With strong backing from an established London operation, you’ll join at a pivotal moment as the Manchester region builds out its delivery capability.

Responsibilities

As the Quantity Surveyor on this project, you will:

Lead all commercial functions on site, ensuring accurate cost management and financial reporting.

Manage procurement, tendering, contract administration and subcontractor packages.

Work closely with the project team to maintain cost certainty and identify value engineering opportunities.

Support monthly valuations, CVRs, forecasting and cashflow management.

Build strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors and client representatives.

Represent the commercial function as the region grows and additional projects come online.
