This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments, ensuring compliance, quality, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Overview :
The Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of passive fire protection projects. They will be responsible for providing accurate cost management, supporting project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for passive fire protection projects.
Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotations, managing contracts from inception to completion.
Monitor and control project budgets, identifying potential risks, variations, and cost-saving opportunities.
Provide regular financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management and project teams.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, and suppliers to support smooth project delivery.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
Assist in post-project evaluations and final account settlements.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally with exposure to passive fire protection systems.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost management principles.
Familiarity with contract administration, procurement processes, and subcontractor management.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proactive problem-solver with a commitment to quality and safety.
