Quantity Surveyor – Construction (New Build & Refurbishment Projects up to £15m)

About the Role
We are partnering with a reputable and well-established construction contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects across the North West. Schemes range up to £15 million, covering commercial, residential, public sector, and mixed-use developments.
This role offers exposure to varied, challenging projects and the opportunity to develop within a supportive, progressive commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage commercial aspects of projects from initial tender through to final account
* Prepare and analyse cost plans, bills of quantities, valuations, and variations
* Procure subcontractors and negotiate packages
* Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial reporting
* Work closely with project teams to ensure cost control and value engineering
* Attend client and progress meetings, providing clear commercial updates
* Support risk management, contractual compliance, and dispute resolution where required
* Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of all commercial documentation
About You
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
* Background working on new build and/or refurbishment projects up to £15m
* Strong commercial acumen with sound understanding of JCT contracts
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
* Ability to manage multiple live projects and meet deadlines
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred but not essential)
* Full UK driving licence required
