Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist contractor for an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee a fire-stopping package on a commercial project in Manchester. This is a 6-week contract, ideal for a supervisor with strong fire-stopping experience and the ability to run a small, focused team on a fast-track programme.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise daily site activities relating to fire-stopping works.

* Manage operatives and ensure tasks are delivered to specification and programme.

* Check and record fire-stopping installations for compliance and quality assurance.

* Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and client representatives.

* Maintain accurate site documentation, including permits, reports, and photos.

* Ensure strict adherence to health & safety standards at all times.

* Identify and escalate any issues, risks, or delays promptly.

* Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment.

Requirements

* Proven experience supervising fire-stopping or passive fire protection works.

* Strong understanding of fire-stopping systems, installation methods, and QA requirements.

* SMSTS, CSCS card, First Aid

* Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.

* Ability to manage a fast-paced, short-duration project.
