As a Motion Designer within our Create Team, you will be involved in concepting and producing standout motion assets across digital platforms with a focus on social media content. You will collaborate closely with account managers, designers, art directors and copywriters to develop engaging visual narratives. Your role will involve developing motion design from storyboard and concept through to art direction and final animation, ensuring work meets strategic objectives, enhances brand identity, and is delivered on time.
ResponsibilitiesConcept Development
- Develop innovative motion design concepts for a range of campaigns and across multiple platforms.
- Work directly with account managers to present motion concepts and adapt ideas based on client feedback.
- Work closely with other creatives, including designers, copywriters, and art directors, to produce innovative and cohesive motion content.
- Brand Strategy Ensure all motion content is consistent with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
- Execution of motion assets for campaigns, ensuring visual consistency and high production value.
- Interested in exploring new motion trends, software, AI and techniques to bring fresh, industry-leading ideas to projects.
- Platform Knowledge Keeping up to date with latest platform best practices and trends, feeding them into the team and motion delivery.
- Strong ability to generate innovative, strategic, and motion-first creative ideas.
- Proficiency in motion software (After Effects and Premiere Pro or any other NLE software) and other creative tools. Cinema 4D and/or Blender are preferred, but not required.
- Skilled in crafting storyboards and motion treatments that communicate ideas clearly and creatively.
- Ideally, experience leading visual direction for video shoots, from ideation to completion (but not essential).
- Experience with a variety of media platforms, from social media content to explainer videos and digital campaigns.
- Knowledge and experience in capturing and editing content using low-fi formats for platforms such as Tik Tok and Instagram.
- Ability to present motion ideas and work persuasively to both clients and internal teams.
- Well-organised, with the ability to juggle multiple timelines and priorities efficiently.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, including editors, designers, copywriters, account managers, and producers.
- A passionate creative who constantly seeks fresh ideas and solutions for effective storytelling.
- Rigorous attention to motion detail, pacing, and transitions to produce high-quality content.
- Dedicated to understanding and meeting client objectives through motion design excellence.
- Able to stay calm and find creative solutions under pressure.
- Comfortable with changes and shifts in project direction, deadlines, and creative challenges.
- Strong ability to work well within a team, sharing ideas and collaborating to refine and deliver exceptional results.
- Effective at prioritising tasks and managing time to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
This job is based in our Manchester studio 3 days a week with the occasional requirement to travel to location shoots.
