A well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering practical, sustainable, and high-quality design solutions is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its expanding infrastructure team in Manchester. The practice delivers a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects across the UK and is growing steadily due to repeat clients and new project wins.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to progress their technical and project delivery experience in a collaborative, design-focused environment. You’ll support the production of detailed designs across highways, drainage, and external works projects from concept to construction.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver highways, drainage, and external works for residential and commercial schemes.
Prepare and review designs for Section 278, 38, 104, and 106 agreements.
Produce 3D designs and drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Micro Drainage (Info Drainage).
Undertake SuDS design, ground modelling, and earthworks analysis.
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
Support junior engineers and contribute to overall project coordination.
Requirements
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
3–7 years’ experience in UK infrastructure design.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Micro Drainage (Info Drainage).
Strong knowledge of SuDS principles, DMRB, and local authority standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ambition to work toward professional accreditation (IEng/CEng).
