Senior Sustainability Consultant

They are looking to hire a knowledgeable and motivated Senior Sustainability Consultant to play a key role within their expanding specialist team!

Requirements for applicants:
A formal qualification in sustainability, environmental management or a built-environment discipline
Significant relevant experience in sustainability consultancy
Strong track record of delivering environmental assessments including BREEAM, LEED, Ska and/or WELL
In-depth understanding of environmental policy, sustainability legislation and best practice
Experience leading or managing sustainability work streams within design teams
Proficiency with life cycle analysis tools such as One Click LCA
Experience delivering net zero carbon, circularity and embodied carbon assessments
Strong technical writing abilities, including complex reports and planning documentation
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
Ability to mentor and support junior team members
Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Duties and responsibilities:
You will have the opportunity to lead on a broad portfolio of high-profile projects across workplace, healthcare, education, cultural, heritage, leisure and residential sectors.
Responsibilities include:
Leading the development of sustainability strategies and frameworks
Overseeing net zero carbon assessments (operational and embodied)
Managing lifecycle and circularity assessments
Leading environmental and wellbeing assessments including BREEAM, LEED, Ska and WELL
Guiding planning documentation such as Sustainability and Energy Statements
Supporting NABERS, post-occupancy evaluation and building optimisation
Providing ESG-related consultancy
Advising design teams to influence proposals and champion low-impact, healthy, future-ready solutions
Supporting business development, thought leadership and internal upskilling initiatives
Contributing to the company's sustainability strategy and internal environmental management
