Job Description & How to Apply Below
If you’re looking to take on meaningful work that truly makes a difference, this is an opportunity to join a leading property and construction consultancy delivering some of the North West’s most significant healthcare projects.
From cutting-edge hospital redevelopments to specialist treatment centres and life sciences facilities, you’ll play a key part in projects that improve how healthcare is delivered across the region.
This consultancy is known for blending technical excellence with genuine collaboration - a place where people are empowered to think differently, deliver creatively, and add real value for clients and communities alike.
The Opportunity
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage the commercial delivery of healthcare capital projects, ensuring cost certainty and best value throughout the full project lifecycle.
You’ll provide strategic cost advice, prepare estimates and tender documentation, and oversee all post-contract commercial activities. Working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and to the highest possible standard.
Projects typically range from £1m to £20m+, with opportunities to support both NHS and private sector schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver cost management services across all stages - from feasibility to final account.
* Prepare detailed cost plans, tender documentation, and contract administration under NEC and JCT forms.
* Provide accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and value engineering advice.
* Lead on change control, risk management, and procurement strategy.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, design consultants, and contractors.
* Contribute to sustainability and social value goals within each project.
* Support junior colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and sector insights.
About You
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* MRICS or progressing towards chartership.
* Proven background in healthcare, hospital, or life sciences projects (essential).
* Excellent understanding of NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contracts.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Motivated, collaborative, and able to work autonomously when needed.
What You’ll Get
* The chance to work on high-profile, socially impactful projects.
* Supportive, inclusive environment that values initiative and progression.
* Ongoing professional development and chartership support.
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
* Flexible working arrangements and hybrid options.
If you’re a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step into a rewarding sector with long-term growth and purpose-driven projects, we’d love to hear from you.
