Position: Senior Civil Engineer |

We have started working with a prestigious client who are recruiting in their Manchester office. From cutting-edge infrastructure to sustainable urban developments, their teams deliver engineering excellence across the UK and beyond. With a strong reputation for innovation and collaboration, they’re expanding our Civil Engineering capability in Manchester — and we’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join.

The role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects. You’ll lead design teams, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients to bring ambitious visions to life. This is a chance to shape projects that make a real impact on communities and the environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead civil engineering design on major infrastructure and building projects.

  • Manage project delivery, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with standards.

  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Drive innovation and sustainability in design solutions.

About you

We’re looking for someone with both technical expertise and leadership skills. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment and be motivated by solving complex engineering challenges.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (Chartered or working towards Chartership).

  • Proven experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.

  • Strong knowledge of UK design codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Experience with industry-standard software (e.g., Civil 3D, Micro Drainage).
