We invite you to help shape the future of railway safety in our Rail Infrastructure business. As a Senior RAMSS Engineer, you will conduct engineering safety assurance and RAM activities for a portfolio of UK mainline and metro railway projects.
Responsibilities- Plan safety and RAM activities for UK mainline and metro rail projects.
- Conduct hazard identification, hazard analysis and safety record management.
- Gather safety assurance evidence and produce RAM analysis.
- Prepare application safety case arguments and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Execute RAM requirements capture, analysis, modelling, prediction and demonstration of designs.
- Build safety arguments and safety cases to secure railway authority approval.
- Monitor system design and implementation, produce engineering safety and RAM material to demonstrate compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support the Head of Safety Assurance in developing the department functional roadmap, delivering safety/CSM training, and other tasks as appropriate.
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Science or related discipline.
- Experience in RAM management and engineering processes, including RAM planning, analysis, requirements capture, FRACAS, and demonstration reports.
- Previous experience in the UK rail industry, especially engineering safety/RAM management for turnkey mainline or mass transit projects.
- Understanding of verification and validation techniques, signalling principles, and safety planning.
- Capability to produce Hazard Identification, System Hazard Record Management, System Hazard Analysis Reports, Application Safety Cases (structured to CENELEC
50129). - Knowledge of CENELEC 50126/50128/50129 and IEC 61508 standards.
