Senior Civil Site Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Site Engineer to support the delivery of civil construction projects in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and technical support on site, ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.

• Carry out setting out for civil works using GPS, total station, and traditional methods
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and design requirements
• Provide technical support to site management and subcontractors
• Monitor and maintain quality control procedures on site Assist with planning works and sequencing activities
• Manage and maintain site records, including as-built drawings and daily reports
• Coordinate with designers, consultants, and surveyors as required
• Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil construction
• Strong background in groundworks, drainage, utilities, highways, or infrastructure projects
• Competent in reading and interpreting construction drawings
• Proficient with setting-out equipment and surveying techniques
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with site teams and subcontractors
• Good communication and organisational skills

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• CSCS Card (essential)
• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
• First Aid at Work (desirable)
