Graduate Transport Engineer (2026 Programme)

Join SLR Consulting as a Graduate Transport Engineer as part of the 2026 Programme. We seek recent or upcoming graduates with a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

We will provide training and development to assist with the creation of Transport Engineering and Infrastructure solutions for multiple sectors within our Built Environment Team.

• Assisting Project Managers across various sectors throughout the UK and internationally.
• Working as part of a design team reporting to a senior engineer, assisting with technical design production.
• Developing design knowledge and skills using specialist design software.
• Site supervision of construction projects and record keeping.
• Assisting with the compilation of design and construction tender packages.
• Assisting with report compilation.

Due to the training nature of the role, you will typically work from the office, but hybrid working is possible.

You will have recently graduated or be in your final year with a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and hold a full UK driving licence.

• A general understanding of Civil Engineering principles.
• Ability to work independently, be organized, and be a logical thinker.
• Numeracy, data confidence, IT literacy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A willingness to learn and ability to cope with working on different types of projects simultaneously.
