The OpportunityAn opportunity has become available for a proven Principal Process Engineer to join one of our key clients on a long-term contract, operating outside IR35. This role will enable you to gain valuable experience from a seasoned team of specialists in the Water industry. As Principal Process Engineer, you will fulfil a key role in leading important projects from concept through to commissioning.
Yourduties and responsibilities will be
- Ensure design team produce design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
- Identify appropriate and efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team
- Direct and develop engineers and graduates.
- Approve design deliverables, DRAs, reports and specifications.
- Check and approve mass balance, process sizing and hydraulic calculations and process flow diagrams, control philosophies and commissioning strategies
- Guide design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards.
- Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
- Ensure work is undertaken using formal processes and procedures.
- Estimate hours required for design packages
- Attend and present designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM meetings and similar
- Review, interpret and brief standards, procedures, and changes to them. Provide key technical guidance for projects and tenders.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards
- Extensive process design experience within the UK regulated water sector
- Proven record of delivering process designs for wastewater schemes
- Demonstrable capability producing PFDs/P&IDs, equipment sizing/specs, and technical reports through to design assurance
- Experience with both clean water and waste water
- Experience of HAZOP studies ideally as HAZOP chair
- Driving licence & access to vehicle
