Senior Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed design for a wide array of civil engineering projects
• Follow check and approve procedures throughout project delivery
• Undertake the duties of designer as highlighted in CDM / CSM legislation
• Engage with clients and support successful project delivery
• Contribute to company goals and business improvement
• Continue your own professional development
• Support junior staff development

• Circa 4 / 5 years experience
• Ideally CEng or IEng qualified with a professional body i.e. ICE, IStructE
• Demonstratable experience in a Civil Engineering role, ideally acting as CRE, CRE under mentorship
• Experience of civil engineering design and in the railway industry, including an understanding of Network Rail standards
• A Civil Engineering degree (MEng preferred but not critical)
• Knowledge of civil design and construction principles and standards
• Eurocode experience
• Experience in delivering to safety standards and CDM / CSM requirements
• Experience of commercial awareness including programming and delivery to budgets / timescales
• Proficient in the use of computer analysis programs e.g. TEDDS and Supersuite.
• Knowledge of producing drawings by using 2D / 3D Microstation
