Overview
Multi Skilled Facilities Engineer / Electrical Bias role at OCS UK & Ireland. This position supports the line manager in delivering existing FM contracts by applying the company’s management system and leveraging the electrician’s technical knowledge.
Duties & Responsibilities- Take an active role in the management of all quality, environmental and health & safety issues on the site in compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
- Ensure Planned Preventive and Reactive maintenance are carried out to the correct specification, frequency and quality.
- Organise and manage the mechanical and electrical maintenance schedule in compliance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system.
- Organise and manage external maintenance contractors to ensure mechanical, electrical, and building fabric maintenance schedules are carried out in accordance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system.
- Support client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
- Identify and implement innovations to improve service delivery.
- Ensure continuity of systems in compliance with legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance.
- Ensure tools, equipment and materials are available as required for effective service delivery.
- Assist with Sub-Contractor management and monitoring.
- Ensure, demonstrate, review and monitor compliance to meet client expectations and company quality goals, including BS EN ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Provide a 24/7 emergency on-call service as required (365 days per year).
- Be prepared to work overtime to support the contract when needed.
- Take ownership of facilities-related activities on FES contracted sites, interfacing with contractors across trades.
- Assist Supervisor with project planning. Duties may be updated in line with company needs.
- Formal technical education in Mechanical/electrical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years post-training experience or fully indentured Electrical Craft Apprenticeship (C&G 2360/1&2 or similar).
- Full driving license.
- Understanding of asset management principles and maintenance techniques.
- Experience with management systems (ISO 9001:2000/14001/18001 or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety principles including Risk Assessment and COSHH.
- Pro-active attitude, excellent planning and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to build client relationships and exceed customer expectations.
- Team-oriented with a solution-focused approach and self-motivation.
- Commitment to continuing professional development; IOSH Managing Safely or similar is useful.
