Principal Civil Engineer

Waterman Aspen North West are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer who will be responsible for the design and delivery of schemes. The Principal Engineer will be responsible for the project management and provide a team leadership role in a multi disciplinaryenvironment working on a wide variety of schemes.

Requirements:

• Ideally, you will hold a BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent and working towards or have achieved a Chartership CEng
• Able to demonstrate managing a team, resources and finances in a competitive
  
  Highways environment
• Prepare fee proposals based on number of hours to complete activities
• To be confident to review and sign offdeliverablesin any given scheme.
• Able to demonstrate thesubmissionof schemes, including all it’s deliverables as well as processing start up and call-off procedures.
• Must have experience in the reviewing and preparation of contract drawings and specifications
• Ideally have experience in Section 38 and 278, 104 and 106 Agreements
• Have knowledge and experience in highways design for local authority and/or Highways England schemes
• To have good working knowledge of the MCHW, DMRB and contract documentation to NEC3
• To be well versed with the NRSWA procedures and to be able to open and complete negotiations with Statutory Undertakers
