I’m currently working with a leading UK design and build contractor within the water sector to recruit Senior Design Engineers across Electrical, Mechanical, Process and Civil disciplines.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role across the full project lifecycle — from concept and detailed design through to construction support and commissioning. Working in a multi-disciplinary environment, you’ll lead technical delivery within your discipline while collaborating closely with others.

• Leading and reviewing high-quality engineering designs within your discipline
• Producing and reviewing technical specifications and procurement documentation
Reviewing supplier tender bids and technical submissions
• Ensuring compliance with industry, client, quality, and safety standards
• Mentoring and supporting graduate and engineer-level colleagues
• Building strong working relationships across project teams and supply chains

• Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Process or Civil Engineering (or similar)
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, or actively working towards chartership
• Experience with in the UK water or wastewater sector (desirable but not essential)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
• A methodical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
