new role

As Indirect Tax Manager, you will take ownership of the group’s VAT and indirect tax compliance across all operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation, management and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting, filings and payments.
  • Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Advise on tax aspects of business activities, including risk management and cross‑border transactions.
  • Monitor compliance for overseas operations and online services, implementing processes as needed.
  • Engage in system development to maintain robust tax accounting records and accurate financial data.
  • Manage VAT exposure through regular reviews and VAT groupings.
  • Support training and development of finance teams to identify when specialist tax input is required.
  • Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities and contribute to wider tax strategy initiatives.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Professional qualification (CTA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Significant post‑qualification experience in VAT, corporation tax and employment taxes within a complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement system and process improvements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for finding practical solutions and supporting others.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to continuous development.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing conflicting priorities.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and experience with large ERP systems.
