Yournew role
As Indirect Tax Manager, you will take ownership of the group’s VAT and indirect tax compliance across all operations.
Key responsibilities- Lead the preparation, management and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting, filings and payments.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Advise on tax aspects of business activities, including risk management and cross‑border transactions.
- Monitor compliance for overseas operations and online services, implementing processes as needed.
- Engage in system development to maintain robust tax accounting records and accurate financial data.
- Manage VAT exposure through regular reviews and VAT groupings.
- Support training and development of finance teams to identify when specialist tax input is required.
- Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities and contribute to wider tax strategy initiatives.
- Professional qualification (CTA, ACA or equivalent).
- Significant post‑qualification experience in VAT, corporation tax and employment taxes within a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to identify and implement system and process improvements.
- Strong commercial awareness and collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for finding practical solutions and supporting others.
- High attention to detail and commitment to continuous development.
- Strong organisational skills with experience managing conflicting priorities.
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and experience with large ERP systems.
