Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant – Property Manchester City Centre  Temporary (2 Months)  £13.00ph (£27,000 salary equivilant)  Full-Time  Office-Based  Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm

Are you an experienced Finance Assistant with a background in property or housing? We’re looking for someone organised, accurate, and confident working in a fast-paced finance team supporting property management operations.

The Role You’ll support day to day finance activity including:

Processing purchase invoices (rents, service charges, maintenance, business rates)

Managing supplier payments and posting daily receipts

Reconciling bank, landlord, council, and supplier accounts

Chasing tenant arrears (service charges, ground rents, utilities)

Assisting with month-end tasks: accruals, journals, prepayments, reporting

Maintaining accurate data in SAGE and Excel

Liaising with landlords, agents, councils, tenants, and internal teams

What You’ll Bring
Strong finance experience — property sector experience highly desirable

Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (SAGE preferred)

Knowledge of service charges, rents, leases, and property finance

High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines

AAT qualification is a bonus
