Credit Controller

Position: Credit Controller (Permanent)
Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a high growth, well established business based in the South Manchester area, who are looking to appoint a Credit Controller into a newly created position within their finance team.

This role has been created to support continued business growth and strengthen the credit function. You will be responsible for managing collections, protecting cash flow, and maintaining strong customer relationships across a varied ledger. This is a hands on role offering autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to add value within a fast paced, commercial environment.

Location:

South Manchester
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, handling queries and disputes professionally
Proactively chase outstanding payments and resolve late payment issues efficiently
Take responsibility for the day to day management of the sales ledger
Apply effective credit control procedures to minimise overdue balances and reduce bad debt risk
Upload invoices and manage payments
Monitor debtor balances and ensure adherence to agreed credit terms
Collaborate with sales and wider commercial teams to support a smooth customer experience

Person Specification

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Credit Control role
Proven ability to communicate clearly and resolve queries with stakeholders at all levels
Resilient and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities independently
Strong attention to detail
Confident Excel user
