What This Role EntailsThe University is seeking a motivated and experienced HCPC-registered MR radiographer to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality imaging across multiple sites in Greater Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and clinical trials using state-of-the-art imaging technology.
The University owns and operates a Philips Achieva 3T MR scanner based at the NIHR/Wellcome Trust Manchester Clinical Research Facility, alongside a GE SIGNA 3T PET-MR scanner at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In addition, the team benefits from dedicated research access to a Philips 3T Elition MR scanner at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will bring substantial MR scanning experience and a keen interest in research imaging. You will support a diverse portfolio of studies and clinical trials spanning a wide range of disease areas, working closely with academic and clinical collaborators. The role requires comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of MR procedures, safety, legislation and quality standards, with flexibility to rotate across sites to meet scanning demand.

As this role involves research at a postgraduate level, applicants who are not an EEA national or a national of an exempt country and who will require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route of the UK Visas and Immigration’s (UKVI) Points Based System in order to take up the role, will be required to apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) Certificate and will need to obtain this prior to making any official visa application UKVI.
