Overview
Community Nursery Nurse - Health visiting. We are seeking enthusiastic Community Nursery Nurses to join our dynamic, diverse, and supportive team in Manchester. Here in Manchester we are continuing to reshape the way Health Visitors work. We have a diverse and inclusive team of Health Visitors and Community Nursery Nurses who work together as part of our highly skilled 0-5 early years workforce.
We use an integrated and targeted family support offer developing innovative approaches to early help and prevention. In this role you will be making a real difference to Manchester families lives.
Applications are welcomed from experienced qualified Community Nursery Nurses, who are proactive and enthusiastic with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. All post holders need to work flexibly and be committed to working innovatively with other children’s services colleagues. You must have good communication skills, the ability to work using your own initiative and be computer literate. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
Core service hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. In return we offer a thorough induction programme, supportive preceptorship arrangements, regular supervision as well as ensuring support with continuing professional development.

- Provide health visiting support as part of a 0-5 early years workforce, contributing to integrated and targeted family support.
- Work flexibly with other children’s services colleagues to deliver innovative early help and prevention approaches.
- Maintain awareness of contemporary policy documents relating to Children’s Services and the Public Health Agenda in line with the Health Visitor Implementation Plan.
