Specialist Mental Health Dietitian – Band 6, 12‑month fixed‑term maternity leave cover (January 2026) at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust

• Manage a complex caseload across a range of mental health units, including older adults, mother and baby, substance misuse, and adults of working age.
• Deliver all aspects of dietetic care: weight management, diabetes, nutrition support, enteral feeding, eating disorders and more.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and supervise a team of Dietetic Assistant Practitioners and Student Dietitians.
• Ensure professional and legal accountability for all clinical work, meeting agreed local, national and professional standards.
• Provide specialist advice to the Trust and support the delivery of food and nutrition policies, including resources, training and education.
• Support and supervise Dietetic Assistant Practitioners, ensuring appropriate supervision, training and appraisal.

Requires a Dietitian qualification and proven experience in mental health dietetics, with evidence of managing complex caseloads and supervising staff.
