We are delighted to invite applications for this new specialist SLT post working with patients with Head & Neck cancer! You will work at the hub of H&N cancer service provision for patients throughout Greater Manchester. We work with inpatients and outpatients, delivering quality SLT intervention to add communication and swallowing problems. We have regular VF (training can be provided), FEES and laryngectomy valve‑change clinics.

The team is led by H&N Clinical Lead SLT and benefits from regular, ongoing CPD. The team also benefits from the larger SLT team covering many specialities across our service. If you have an interest in/passion for working with H&N populations, we'd love to hear from you! Solid dysphagia skills and a desire to learn essential – experience with H&N not essential.

To provide an efficient and high quality specialised speech & language therapy service for patients with a Head and Neck (H&N) cancer diagnosis who may be inpatients or outpatients.

To supervise recently qualified speech & language therapists, assistants and students.

To participate in Continuing Professional Development, clinical audit and in service training.

To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work, working to agreed national and professional standards.
