Ace Centre and the Inpatient Neuro Rehabilitation service at Salford Hospital have collaborated on an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dynamic Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for Neurorehabilitation and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
This unique position offers the post holder opportunity to gain expertise across motivating and complementary specialist areas of work, with the chance to work with highly experienced professionals in both services.
This is a full‑time role, equally split. The post holder will have two contracts with separate terms and conditions for each employer. At Ace Centre you will work as an AAC Consultant across the Northwest, and at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust you will work as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in Neurorehabilitation based at Salford on the Hyperacute and Acute Neuro Rehabilitation units at Salford Hospital.
The skills and clinical expertise required for each role will support patient care and experience across both services for patients with complex communication needs.

Person Specification Qulaifications- Degree in Speech & Language Therapy or recognised equivalent qualification.
- Post‑basic qualification/specialist competencies in dysphagia (RCSLT Level
C). - Evidence of successful completion of relevant short courses.
- Clinical Educator training.
- Training / Experience of videofluoroscopy.
- Training / Experience of FEES.
- Training / Experience of working with patients with tracheostomies.
- HCPC registration.
- Member of RCSLT.
- Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience of working with adults with acquired neurological conditions and their families/support network.
- Post‑qualification experience of working with a Neuro or Neurorehabilitation caseload.
