As a Desktop Support Technician at Connex
AI, you’ll be key in supporting our internal infrastructure across multiple global offices. Reporting to the Global Head of Infrastructure, you’ll handle day‑to‑day IT operations, onboarding, and troubleshooting while driving service quality and helping embed a culture of best practice.
Based in our Manchester HQ, you’ll work hands‑on with local teams and remotely support international offices to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Onboard new starters with devices and software using our standard build process
- Maintain the internal asset register
- Manage users and permissions via Active Directory and Group Policy
- Monitor internal systems, including antivirus, WSUS, and third‑party updates
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Configure and support VPN access for remote users
- Set up and maintain VLANs to ensure correct network segmentation
- Support and maintain virtual environments
- Identify opportunities to improve internal IT processes
- Act as an escalation point within the Infrastructure team
- Champion a culture of IT security, reliability, and user‑first service
- Confident in supporting end users across varied technical skill levels
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions‑focused
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities at once
- Keen to grow your role alongside the business
- Microsoft MTA / MCSA / MCSP (required)
- Experience managing virtual environments
