JOB TITLE: Senior Business & Data Analyst – Infrastructure Backup & Recovery

SALARY: £59,850 - 66,500 per annum

LOCATIONS: Leeds or Manchester

HOURS: Full‑time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, spending at least two days per week at one of our office sites.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business & Data Analyst to join our Backup and Recovery Team to deliver technically complex projects.

About This Opportunity

The Core Infrastructure Platform Team acts as the engine room that forms the infrastructure foundation of Lloyds Banking Group, delivering complex solutions that support all aspects of the Bank and the services it provides to more than 27 million customers.

Within the Core Infrastructure Platform, the Backup & Recovery Lab Team delivers a new strategic backup capability to enhance safeguarding, maturing the bank's operational resiliency posture and regulatory compliance position.

Within the context of the Backup & Recovery Lab, the Senior Business & Data Analyst will shape the approach to transitioning assets from legacy backup tools to a new strategic toolset, meeting customer expectations.

We're looking for a Senior Business & Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in complex product and process development, working closely with Product Owners, a new Private Cloud team, and cross‑functional colleagues. You will understand, measure, and orchestrate customer journeys, ensuring customer needs remain central, driving continuous improvement and effective integration across business functions, technology, and data.

Day to day, you will
  • Independently understand, design, and map end‑to‑end customer journeys (internal and external), integrating insights from data, processes, and systems.
  • Lead on customer journey and process mapping (e.g., using Visio or similar tools).
  • Interpret complex detail and data, incorporating them into migration, cutover approaches, and customer treatment strategies.
  • Continually evaluate journey effectiveness from both customer and business perspectives.
  • Display a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing enhancements to customer journeys and business processes.
  • Promote customer‑centricity and positive values within the team.
  • Consider opportunities to optimise or automate backup tool migration processes.
  • Coordinate and build alignment across teams and functions to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Work closely with integrators, product owners, and third‑party suppliers to manage complex dependencies, planning, and delivery.
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicting views and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure the complex landscape in which the Backup & Recovery Lab operates is reflected in the analysis and engagement activity that is performed.
  • Demonstrate complex data analytical capability, understanding the role of data in customer journeys and migrations.
  • Use data tools (e.g., Excel; SQL desirable) to implement controls and ensure safe, accountable data use.
  • Support technology and process integration, especially in complex migration or transformation contexts (e.g., finance, payments, digital assets).
  • Exhibit capability to manage large, complex datasets to drive informed decision making.
