NSL – Scrum Master

NSL – Scrum Master role at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, Manchester, UK.

Join a team delivering secure, mission-critical systems for national security customers.

• Coach cross‑functional software engineering teams using Agile and Scrum principles.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements and tooling (Confluence, JIRA, Trello).
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Partner with Dev Ops teams to design, deploy and maintain applications and services.
• Promote security, reliability and compliance practices across the delivery lifecycle.

Required Experience

• Leadership roles or responsibilities within a professional software, systems or service team.
• Champion Scrum and agile principles within a team.
• Knowledge of the software lifecycle and how to apply agile methodologies to large projects.
• Coaching and mentoring junior software developers, setting an example and identifying areas for improvement and training.
• Facilitating team meetings, helping to draw thoughts and ideas from all team members.
• Task and knowledge management tools such as Confluence, JIRA and Trello.
• Continuously looking for process improvements.
• Bringing enthusiasm and fun to your work!

Nice to Have

• Scrum certification such as PSM or CSM.
• Scaled agile certification such as SAFe or Scrum@Scale.
• Project management experience including risk, issue and dependency tracking.
• Service management experience: incident, outage response using problem‑solving skills.
• Change management experience: coordinating feature deployments and reducing risk.
• Software development or design experience.
