Role Overview

This is an execution-heavy role responsible for taking product ideas from concept to customer
, without chaos, delays, or endless sample loops.

Your job is to make sure:

  • We ship the right products
  • At the right time
  • At the right margin
  • With zero confusion between design, factory, marketing, and ops

Responsibilities
  • 1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
    • Own the seasonal and quarterly product roadmap
    • Decide what gets built, what gets killed, and what gets delayed
    • Balance newness, restocks, and hero product expansion
    • Align product decisions with brand, margins, and inventory reality
  • 2. Product Development (End-to-End)
    • Take ideas from concept → tech pack → sample → production
    • Work directly with designers, factories, and internal stakeholders
    • Manage sampling rounds decisively (no endless tweaks)
    • Own sizing, fit, fabric choice, trims, and construction decisions
    • Ensure products meet quality, modesty, and performance standards
  • 3. Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Be the single point of truth between design, manufacturing, marketing, operations, and founder
    • Translate vague ideas into clear, executable briefs
    • Keep launches on track and unblock issues fast
  • 4. Commercial Ownership
    • Understand COGS, margins, MOQ constraints, and lead times
    • Make product decisions that actually make financial sense
    • Flag margin killers early and propose alternatives
    • Work closely with inventory planning to avoid stockouts or dead stock
  • 5. Data & Customer Insight
    • Use sales data, returns, reviews, and feedback to improve products
    • Identify why products succeed or fail and fix root causes
    • Continuously refine fit, sizing, and design based on real usage
Qualifications
  • Must-Haves
    • 5+ years experience in product management or product development (Apparel specific)
    • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit
    • Highly organised with strong written communication
  • Nice-to-Haves
    • Experience in active wear or performance apparel
    • Experience working with overseas manufacturers (especially China)
    • Experience in DTC or ecommerce brands
    • Understanding of modest fashion or Muslim consumer needs
