What you can expect

We are seeking an experienced Data Science consultant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, mathematical modelling and ML, with a focus on using advanced analytics techniques to support data‑centric decision making in both public and private sector organisations.

Responsibilities
  • Work to agile best practices and cross‑functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Live in‑person whiteboarding sessions to problem‑solve as a team, alongside asynchronous communication on Teams.
  • Hybrid working with the team on client site or in our office a minimum of two days per week; time will vary by role or assignment.
  • Use a range of tools and technologies – Data Bricks, Python, PySpark, R, Excel, Palantir Foundry and Power

    BI.
Qualifications – Essential requirements
  • A degree, Masters or PhD from a leading university in data science, mathematics, operational research, physics or statistics.
  • Experience conducting evidence‑based decision making, designing and developing models and supporting data‑centric decision making.
  • Experience translating business needs into analytical solutions and communicating findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience across the full analytics and modelling lifecycle – problem formulation, exploratory data analysis, model design, build, testing and handover.
  • Experience with common tools – Python, SQL, Excel and data visualisation solutions.
  • Experience leading or delivering solutions involving advanced analytics and data science, algorithm design, operational research models, data engineering, big data and cloud platforms, data visualisation or dashboard development.
  • A genuine affinity for problem solving – an inquisitive mind who wants to solve the trickiest challenges while working with incredible colleagues.
Nice to haves
  • Excellent stakeholder management, project management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in or providing consulting and advisory services to stakeholders.
  • Experience managing analytical solutions across discovery, development, rollout and implementation stages.
Assessment process ⚖️
  • Quick call with a tech recruiter to discuss your application, the role and PA.
  • Round 1 – competency or technical interview (60 mins).
  • Round 2 – competency or technical interview (60 mins).
  • Final round – meeting with a PA leader – a mini case study and discussion around client‑centricity (60 mins).
