Position: Microsoft Business Central (BC) Release & Deployment Consultant - (6 month+ Contract assignment)

HCLTech is seeking a Microsoft Business Central (BC) Release & Deployment Consultant for a 6 month+ contract assignment.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Business Central (BC) Consultant with strong technical expertise. The ideal candidate will be a team player, having hands‑on experience in managing deployments, setup of build‑pipelines, troubleshooting technical setup issues of BC and its components and security configuration for BC environments. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure smooth release management and work effectively during Central European Time (CET) hours.

Location: UK, with the possibility of occasional travel to Malmo, Sweden

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months+

Rate: Market Rate - (inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities Microsoft Business Central Technical Expertise

• Ability to understand BC environment topology.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BC implementations.

Release & Deployment Management

• Plan and execute release cycles for BC developments.
• Ensure successful deployments across environments with minimal downtime.

Build Pipeline Setup

• Implement and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Optimize CI / CD processes for BC projects.

IT Installation & Setup

• Troubleshoot technical issues in installation and configuration of BC systems and related components.
• Ensure compliance with security and infrastructure standards.

Security Permissions Management

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot security roles and permissions within BC.
• Ensure proper access control and compliance with organizational security policies.

Release Governance (Preferred)

• Manage and monitor release processes, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Business Central technical implementations.
• Strong knowledge of release management and deployment strategies.
• Proficiency in setting up build pipelines and CI / CD workflows.
• Experience in IT infrastructure setup for BC environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with Dev Ops practices and tools.

Mandatory: Availability to work in Central European Time (CET) hours.

Nice to Have

• Experience in managing end‑to‑end release cycles.
• Basic functional understanding of Microsoft Business Central modules
