Digital Service Support Engineer
Manchester – Hybrid with national travel required

*    £28,000 - £40,000 per annum

The Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Digital Service Support Engineer to join our IT function and play a key role in delivering and supporting modern, cloud-first digital services. This is a hands-on, user-facing IT support role combining technical troubleshooting, Microsoft Azure administration, Microsoft 365 support, and end-user device management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality technical support to end users both remotely and on-site

* Administer and support Microsoft Azure services, including Entra  (Azure AD)

* Manage Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Mobile Device Management (MDM)

* Support Microsoft 365 and Windows desktop environments

* Diagnose, log, and resolve incidents in line with ITIL best practices

* Configure and support MFA, user accounts, and access controls

* Carry out basic networking tasks including IP addressing and cable patching

* Support device deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management

* Take ownership of technical issues through to resolution

* Contribute to continuous service improvement and documentation

The Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced IT Support Engineer or Digital Service Engineer with a strong customer-service mindset and a passion for delivering reliable, secure digital services. You are confident communicating with non-technical users and thrive in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.

About you:

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing IT support role

* At least 2 years’ experience administering Microsoft Azure

* Strong knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change management

* Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Entra

* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, subnetting, patching)

* Experience supporting Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications

* Confidence supporting users via phone, Teams, and face-to-face
