• Develop engaging, accurate and performant dashboards in Power BI using advanced techniques
• Write and maintain basic scripts for data transformation and exploration within Databricks working closely with Claims Modelling Analysts to ensure complex data models are fit for purpose
• Ensure data processes meet the technical standards, coding best practices, reconciliation validations and version control procedures of the Data Insights team
• Develop expertise in claims related data
• Use Dev Ops boards, repositories and pipelines to manage and track work items, using Git for version control
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and continuously develop technical and analytical skills to stay up to date with developments in analytics, cloud tooling, industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements under guidance of senior team members, proactively updating stakeholders with the development status of work
• Working to relevant timescales to ensure the delivery of reporting in a timely manner. • Skilled user of Power
  
  BI with knowledge of DAX, M, and visual best practices
• Proficient in Python for object‑oriented development and Git version control, working with cloud data platforms such as Azure and Databricks
• Ability to analyse data and derive meaningful insights with the ability to story‑tell through data
• Problem‑solving skills
• Time‑keeping to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Understanding of business operations and key metrics for driving insights
• Ability to present findings to various audiences using clear communication
• Knowledge of claims functions, and reporting is desirable
