A long-established claimant law firm best known for its strong presence in the Housing Disrepair sector. For decades, the firm has acted on behalf of tenants across the UK, helping them secure fair living conditions and compensation when landlords or housing providers fail to maintain their properties.

The firm is recognised for its high-volume, specialist approach, supported by efficient case management systems, structured workflows, and a focus on achieving timely, effective outcomes for clients. Its teams combine legal expertise with a service-driven mindset, ensuring clients receive clear communication, accessible support, and consistent guidance throughout the claims process.

We are looking for a dedicated Pre-Litigation Housing Disrepair Fee Earner to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in pre‑lit HDR claims who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for tenants.

You will manage your own caseload of pre‑litigation housing disrepair matters, working closely with clients, landlords, and surveyors to progress claims efficiently and effectively.

• Manage a pre‑litigated caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from instruction to settlement or issue.
• Assess new claims for prospects, evidence, and compliance with the Housing Disrepair Protocol.
• Draft letters of claim and other pre‑action correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, landlords, experts, and third parties to obtain reports and negotiate settlements.
• Ensure all cases are progressed in line with internal targets and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records on the firm’s case management system (e.g., Proclaim).
• Deliver high standards of client care and communication at all times.

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in pre‑litigation housing disrepair claims.
• Strong understanding of the Pre‑Action Housing Disrepair Protocol.
• Excellent negotiation, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and efficiently.
• A proactive approach and genuine commitment to achieving fair outcomes for clients.
