EL​/PL Litigation Paralegal

The Role

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an EL/PL Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This role offers the chance to manage a caseload of delegated authority, fixed-fee Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims on behalf of leading insurer clients, while working alongside experienced colleagues who will provide support with strategy, liability decisions, and technical development.

• Manage your own files and draft legal documents.
• Instruct Counsel and experts, negotiate settlements and attend hearings and conferences.
• Engage with claimants, solicitors and witnesses and assist senior file handlers with delegated litigation tasks.

• Previous experience handling litigated EL/PL claims.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
• Able to confidently liaise with external stakeholders, including solicitors and witnesses.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• Strong drafting ability, particularly with documents such as Tomlin/Consent Orders.
• Experience with disclosure, CRU, reviewing medical records and evidence collation.
• Confident in instructing Counsel, preparing for hearings and attending conferences.
• Good IT and case management system literacy.
