Join Our Growing Team at Jarvie Plant! Are you a skilled Vehicle Mechanic looking for your next challenge? At Jarvie Plant, we’re offering the opportunity to be part of a supportive, experienced team where your expertise will make a real difference. Based from our Manchester Depot (M29 7JS
) and covering the Greater Manchester areas, you’ll help keep our fleet moving, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for hire when our customers need them.
- Diagnose and repair issues on a variety of vehicles, both roadside and at customer sites.
- Carry out routine services like oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Address engine management, electrical systems, braking systems, and more.
- Ensure vehicles meet required standards and pass inspections.
- Test replaced parts to verify proper function.
- Comply with legal and safety regulations.
- Identify potential wear and tear during inspections.
- Work efficiently with team members to complete tasks on time.
- Report concerns to the Rentals Manager and/or Workshop Manager.
- Assist with workshop and depot repairs when needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and care.
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on multi-fleet vehicles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently.
- Attention to detail, ensuring vehicle safety and high-quality work.
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
