Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re excited to be partnering with a well-established, forward-thinking independent consultancy that’s looking to welcome an ambitious Project Manager to their growing Manchester team. Known for blending technical expertise with practical know-how, they deliver top-quality cost and project management across the built environment. From commercial developments to education, public sector regeneration, and leisure & hospitality projects, they support clients through every stage - from initial concept all the way to completion.

With strong client relationships and a people-first mindset, this consultancy offers a friendly, collaborative environment where you can really grow your career.

This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who is ideally working towards chartership (RICS, APM, or similar) and is keen to get involved in projects that make a real difference to communities. The company values a purpose-led culture that genuinely supports your professional development. With a focus on sustainability, long-term value, and practical learning, it’s a place where curiosity, integrity, and meaningful contributions are welcomed and rewarded.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead or support the delivery of projects from inception through to completion

* Assist in defining project scopes, goals, deliverables, and success criteria

* Coordinate and manage design teams, stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers

* Prepare and maintain project programmes, reports, and documentation

* Monitor project progress, budgets, and risk registers

* Ensure compliance with quality standards, procurement protocols, and governance frameworks (e.g. NEC, JCT, public sector procedures)

* Contribute to business development and client relationship management

About You:

* Working towards (or recently achieved) professional accreditation (APM, RICS, CIOB, or equivalent)

* Experience across one or more sectors such as commercial, education, leisure, or public projects

* Strong organisational and communication skills, with confidence in a client-facing environment

* Proactive mindset with a collaborative approach and commitment to continuous learning

What’s on

Offer:

* A clearly structured route to progression, with tailored support from experienced senior leaders

* Ongoing mentoring and development towards chartership

* Hybrid working and flexible arrangements to suit your work-life balance

* A friendly, non-corporate culture that values people as much as performance

* The opportunity to work on purpose-driven projects that shape communities for the better
