Data Centre Manager

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of a critical data centre facility on a 3-month contract basis. This role involves managing a team of 3 engineers, with a strong focus on ensuring the smooth operation of essential infrastructure, particularly the cooling systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 3 engineers stationed on-site at the data centre.

• Serve as the primary liaison with the client, ensuring clear communication and alignment with operational requirements.

• Oversee and maintain critical infrastructure, with a focus on the cooling plant to ensure optimal performance.

• Work closely with subcontractors for specialised tasks and maintenance activities.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data centre operations.

• Monitor and manage any issues related to power, cooling, and backup systems, providing prompt solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience working in a data centre environment, with a strong focus on cooling systems.

• Experience managing a team and liaising with clients to meet operational goals.

• Ability to work effectively with subcontractors and external service providers.

• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage critical infrastructure with a focus on maintaining uptime and preventing disruptions.
