Position: Injection Moulding Setter (Permanent)

Tool Setter – Injection Moulding

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year

M17 Trafford Park, Manchester
Shift Pattern:
Rotating weekly (Monday–Friday)

* Week 1: 6am–2pm

* Week 2: 2pm–10pm

* Week 3: 10pm–6am

* Week 4: 6am–2pm

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tool Setter to join our client’s manufacturing team in Trafford Park.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth production by setting, maintaining, and troubleshooting moulding tools and equipment.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position suited to someone who takes pride in efficiency, accuracy, and maintaining high production standards.

Must-Have Experience and Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Tool Setter or Technician in an injection moulding factory

* Experience with a variety of machine sizes and mould tools

* IMT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)

* Valid forklift licence

* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality

Please note:

Only candidates with relevant injection moulding experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

* Safely set up and change moulding tools using lifting equipment

* Input machine parameters to achieve correct product quality and cycle times

* Set up ancillary equipment such as conveyors, separators, and sprue pickers

* Maintain accurate tooling records and perform basic tool maintenance

* Keep material areas tidy, well-stocked, and contamination-free

* Operate a forklift to move pallets or bags of material

* Monitor output to ensure correct quantities are produced to specification

* Perform basic mechanical fault finding and escalate issues when necessary

* Support production and packing teams to ensure machines run efficiently
