The Role
As Utilities & Compliance Planner, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with on-site teams to ensure all assets are effectively maintained and fully compliant with operational requirements. The role requires strong planning and organisational skills, with a clear focus on health and safety, regulatory compliance, and budget control. Your contribution will support the efficient and reliable operation of the site, enabling the continued production of millions of litres of beer and non‑alcoholic beverages, while upholding our site’s heritage and sustaining the Heineken legacy.
YourCore Responsibilities In a Nutshell
- Responsible for planning maintenance (preventative & corrective) within the remit of the site’s utilities, facility assets and ensuring compliance to PSSR & LOLER.
- Monitoring and seek out improvements of conformity to adherence of schedules placed related to PSSR & LOLER frameworks.
- Manage work order compliance and ensure maximum plant availability & readiness.
- Managing embedded contractors in scheduled/ routine utilities & facilities inspections, servicing & maintenance.
- Working with the Head of Facilities & Head of Utilities to manage the annual budget allocated to Repair & Maintenance (R&M) with ownership of budget controls in a proactive approach.
- Planning, executing shutdown periods (as well as resource management), whilst ensuring all departments are given guidance & support through these periods.
- Collaborating with Health & Safety as well as Quality teams to ensure successful external audits related to ISO standards & fire risk assessments take place.
- Utilising SAP software & MS Office suite for scheduling maintenance procedures & procurement related activities.
- Managing contract renewals with regular interface of external customers & clients/ third party providers.

Who We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a proactive individual that thrives on managing various stakeholders in a professional manner & with utmost high‑quality service, as well as having a collaborative approach to and having compliance at the highest priority.
Ideal Candidate Profile- Proven experience in compliance planning within PSSR and LOLER frameworks (essential).
- Proficiency in maintenance and office systems, including SAP (e.g., Maximo) and Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance planning role or closely related position.
- Permit‑to‑work training with practical experience in confined spaces and working at height.
- Experience in contractor and contract management.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Participation in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audit activities (desirable).
- HNC or a formally recognised engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship level) desirable but not essential.
