Assistant Planner

Location: Urmston

My job We are currently looking for an Assistant Planner to support our Planning function at Pilgrim's Europe - Moy Park, Dungannon . This role requires strong communication, ownership of tasks, and the ability to work effectively within a fast paced environment. As an Assistant Planner, you will support the planning team in coordinating orders, issuing production schedules, and updating daily requirements.

You will assist in ensuring that production plans are accurate, raw material requirements are communicated, and customer orders are fulfilled on time. This role is key to ensuring operational continuity and clear communication between departments. Key Information:

Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun Week 2 :

Key Responsibilities:

Releasing meat codes and production schedules Reconciling kill figures from previous days Running and communicating daily convenience and primary shortages Placing and updating our customers' orders Inputting carcass balances and updating stock availability Closing historical process orders Operating and updating fill sheet requirements Maintaining and updating weekly production plans Monitoring PD lines throughout the day Managing changes to plans and providing accurate handovers Liaising with operations teams and supporting managers Providing accurate daily reports Ownership, accurate communication and clear follow up on outstanding actions are vital.

What We're Looking For:

Excellent spoken and written English Strong numerical skills Good organisational and prioritisation skills Confidence to communicate with factory management Ability to work independently and make decisions High attention to detail and accuracy Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to stay calm under pressure Experience in planning, administration or production environments is desirable, though full training will be provided.
