Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with epilepsy? An exciting opportunity for a paediatric registered nurse (band
6) experienced or interested in long‑term conditions to join the children's epilepsy team. The team provides a 5‑day service (8‑6pm) city‑wide, based at Longsight Health Centre and Charlestown Health Centre. The position is 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements discussed role involves delivering high‑quality health care, education and support to children and families within homes, schools and community settings.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to children and young people with epilepsy and their families.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Safeguard children, including robust lone working policies.
- Support self‑management and family‑centred care through comprehensive care planning.
- Registered paediatric/child nurse (band
6) with experience or interest in long‑term conditions. - Minimum 3 years post‑registration.
- Relevant degree level education or specialist practitioner qualification (e.g., CCN).
- Evidence of continuing professional development and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
