Lead Quality Engineer – N Brown Group
Join us to lead quality engineering in our Digital Operations team. We’re looking for a Lead Quality Engineer to own and drive end‑to‑end test strategy across our digital products and support squads with hands‑on testing.
Responsibilities- Leadership & Team Development: Line‑manage and mentor QA engineers, set quality standards, provide feedback on test design, champion collaboration in cross‑functional squads, drive the Test Chapter initiative and introduce innovative testing approaches.
- Customer & Retail Focus: Ensure testing reflects omni‑channel retail realities, collaborate on customer journeys, safeguard site performance during key retail events.
- Governance & Standards: Define and maintain quality gates, support risk assessments, ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory testing requirements.
- Proven QA Lead/Lead Quality Engineer experience in e‑commerce or high‑traffic digital environments.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical risks into clear business language.
- Strong understanding of test strategies, test design, and risk‑based testing across web, mobile, APIs.
- Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum/Kanban, Dev Ops, microservices, cloud.
- Experience influencing cross‑functional squads without direct authority.
- Data‑driven mindset, comfortable using metrics for decision making.
