Senior Backend / Full Stack Engineer (Contract) – Integrations Team

Outside IR35 / B2B | Fully Remote

Evantis is partnering with a fast-moving tech company that’s expanding a newly formed integrations-focused engineering team , responsible for how external partners connect into their platform.

We’re looking for hands‑on backend engineers who enjoy building and delivering real production systems — people who are comfortable owning features end to end rather than operating at a purely architectural level.

This is a greenfield scope , with a strong emphasis on delivery and implementation.

• Building backend services and APIs using Node.js and Type Script
• Designing and implementing partner integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, lightweight plugins)
• Owning end‑to‑end flows including validation, queuing, retries, processing, and responses
• Working with cloud‑native services (GCP environment) to deliver scalable solutions
• Collaborating with principals and product teams while remaining a builder‑first IC
• Operating in a startup‑style environment where priorities can evolve week to week

• Strong hands‑on backend engineering experience (senior IC level)
• Deep practical experience with Node.js, Type Script, REST APIs
• Comfortable explaining and delivering implementation detail , not just high‑level design
• Experience integrating with external systems or third‑party APIs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI / CD pipelines
• Exposure to CMS or partner integrations (Word Press, Shopify, Zapier, etc.) is a bonus , not a requirement
• Enjoys working autonomously and shipping working software
