Job Description
As a Software Development Team Leader, you will help to drive innovation, mentor top talent, and shape the future of our platform with cutting‑edge technology.
The Sports Platform department is responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting our online transactional processes platform. This includes transforming and integrating pre‑match data and odds, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date information is displayed across the splash pages and coupons.
You will be joining our Pre‑Game team enhancing our product offering with innovative new features. This is an exciting opportunity within the team as we continue to expand based on the continued success of our product.
You will be responsible for building, motivating and leading a team, measuring quality and delivery, contributing and driving improvements, whilst ensuring that our processes and technology are efficient and fit for purpose.
Core skills within the team are Go, Typescript, and React. The tech stack also covers Kafka, Spanner, SQL, Cloudflare Workers, HTML5 and CSS

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Qualifications- Commercial experience with leading development teams in the delivery of high quality software applications in client or service side application development.
- Passionate about working with technology and software development processes and practices.
- Experience with Typescript, Golang or other server side technologies.
- Adaptable, with the ability to lead a team to ensure the best outcome for the Business.
- Experience with performance testing.
- Knowledge of service orientated architecture.
- Exposure to multiple software development methodologies.
- Experience with or exposure to Cloud technologies such as GCP, GKE or SAAS.
- Exposure to generative artificial intelligence and large language models.
- Assisting in driving the provision of a capable, reactive, and motivated and delivery focused team.
- Enforcing governance of quality, rules, standards and processes to ensure solutions meet Business requirements.
- Ensuring the development process is conducted in a timely fashion.
- Planning and tracking works actively, as prioritised by the product, project and development management.
- Gaining a good understanding of the technical structure, domain and architecture of the systems that the team are responsible for.
- Identifying and mitigating risk.
- Removing blockers to delivery.
- Working through dependencies.
- Mentoring members of the team and ensuring distribution of knowledge.
- Inputting developer appraisals and other performance feedback.
